For those who don’t know me, I’m a gay male from The Netherlands who creates porn on the internet. In the last two years I‘ve gained over 120.000 fans on my Twitter and over 450 paying fans on my OnlyFans. I wrote several posts in the past; on how to Make Money on OnlyFans and how to become a better bed partner.

I’ve been posting porn online for over 10 years, of which around 3 year on platforms as Twitter and Reddit. I love to play with toys such as dildos, ball stretchers, cock rings and penis pumps, and I regularly post content with it. This post is about my experience with penis enlargement pumps — how to use ’em, what they do, and if it’s worth investing.

What are penis pumps?

Penis pumps are basically hollow tubes in which you insert your penis and then create a vacuum. This vacuum creates a hard suction on your penis which, if done long enough, increases your blood vessels in your penis. This has an effect of getting a fatter and longer penis — an effect that will fade after a few hours.

Is it safe to use a penis pump?

For most people: yes. However, too much air pressure in the cylinder can cause mild bleeding under the skin’s surface. This will usually result in small dark spots — which will vanish after a few days. For this reason, penis pumps may be not be right for you if you:

  • have a blood disorder
  • have a history of blood clots
  • take blood thinners

It happened a few times where I pumped way too long and too hard — say 30 minutes non-stop and with an almost painful suction. This resulted in some dark spots under my skin. Gladly they all vanished within a week.

There are two type of penis pumps: air-based penis pumps and water-based penis pumps. Let’s start with the first category.

Air-based penis pumps

Most pumps are air-based and they come in several shapes and sizes. From cheap €10 Alibaba versions to very expensive fully-automated versions. Here are some examples:

A simple air-based pump. This version uses a balloon to increase pressure.
Left and middel: air-based pumps with a handle to increase pressure. On the right a fully automated pump with battery.

I prefer pump 2 or 3, the ones with a handle to increase the pressure. Some pumps come with several rubber rings. Make sure to pick a ring which the thickness of your dick. Make sure there is not much free space between the ring and your penis to prevent your balls to be sucked in — this can be painful…

Using air-based penis pumps is pretty straight-forward:

  1. Make your penis half-hard;
  2. Apply a bit of lube on your penis and on the rubber ring of the tube;
  3. Insert your penis all the way while slowly increasing pressure using the balloon or handle;
  4. Push the base of the pump to your body. It’s important that no air can enter via the opening;
  5. You might want to move the pump around a bit to guide your penis further into the tube;
  6. Increase the vacuum just before it starts to get painful. In case you went too far, it’s easy to let in a bit of air to decrease the vacuum. All pumps have a small button for this;
  7. Your penis will grow/increase in volume due to the vacuum. In case that air escapes and the suction decreases you might want to use the handle/balloon again to increase the suction;
  8. Leave the pump on for about 5–10 minutes. When done, use the small button to let in some air and remove the pump;
  9. Repeat once or twice.

When you’re done with pumping, it’s nice to apply a rubber cock ring around your D. This helps to keep the blood in your penis — and thus will lengthen the massive feeling and a better erection.

The feeling is pretty similar to having someone suck your penis. I really like the feeling! I love to pump while watching porn. I even jerk-off a bit while my penis is being pumped (by moving the pump up and down my shaft). After about 10 minutes of pumping your penis will become a bit numb. Because of this, getting a blowjob right after you removed the pump feels amazing!

Water-based penis pumps

As far as I know, there is one big manufacturer of water-based penis pump, called Bathmate. The difference with the pumps above, is that you fill the tube with warm water before you insert your penis. The warm water supposedly makes your skin and vessels softer and it enables a harder and more effective suction.

There is a slight difference in usage. These pumps don’t have a balloon or handle to increase the pressure. It works by pulling the pump towards your body with both hands (after you filled it with warm water and inserted your penis). By doing so, water comes out the front of the pump and the pressure increases. This pump is ideal to use while taking a shower or a bath.

Bathmate pumps come in several sizes: up to 5 inches, 5–7 inches, 7–9 inches, and over 9 inches. It’s important to get a pump in the right size. If your pump is too long for your penis, it won’t hold. Due to all the extra water in the pump to fill it up, the pump gets too heavy to stick to your body. You can use their size guide to find the perfect fit.

You’ll find a great tutorial on their website on how to use their pumps. Or watch this video:

Are there any precautions you should take?

Yes, there are a few! Here are some tips to give you a better or more pleasant experience.

  • Shave your pubes. Having hairs on the base of your penis allows air to sneak in. So the smoother the base, the better the seal against the skin will be.
  • Don’t leave the ring on for more than 30 minutes. Cutting off blood flow to your penis for too long could cause damage. Better would be to do 3 sessions of 10 minutes each.
  • Have lube on hand. Apply a bit of lube to your shaft and the base of your penis, as well as around the end of the cylinder, to create an airtight seal. Lube will also make it easier to slide the tension ring on and off. I recommend water-based lube since silicon-based lube can damage the rubber ring of the tube.
  • Use a rubber cock ring. It can be nice to place a rubber cock ring around your penis (not around your penis AND balls such as regular cock rings, but only around your cock). Or even better: a cock sling. This helps to make an airtight seal and also prevents the blood from flowing back.

Does it work?

One of the questions I get asked most is if these pumps actually work. I find that hard to answer. Honestly I would say that these pumps mostly work short-term. Like in the hours after pumping, your penis will have more girth, and feel fatter. It’s really nice to have sex just after pumping. And also the feeling of pumping itself is lovely. I really enjoy doing it.

If it works permanently is hard to tell. The official answer is no. But I’ve been pumping my penis for about 3–4 years, on almost a daily basis. Every morning when I take a shower I use my Bathmate pump. And when I watch porn in bed I sometimes use my air pump (maybe once a month). And I like to believe that over these years, my cock got a little bit bigger and fatter. If I compare pictures of 5 years ago with now, I see a slight difference. But it’s not much. Maybe 1 cm in length, and a little bit in circumference.

My advice: don’t buy a penis pump to get a bigger penis permanently. However, I strongly suggest to get yourself one just for the nice feeling while using it and the increased girth in the short period after pumping.
